To ensure high quality of our solutions, we are looking for an Actuarial Analyst responsible for mathematical calculations validation.

As an Actuarial Analyst in Edlund A/S – a leading Scandinavian provider of specialized IT solutions for administration of life, pension, unit link and insurance portfolios, you will work closely with business architects and developers in one of our agile development projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working closely with business architects and developers in one of our agile development projects
  • Validation of mathematical calculations used in functionalities that are created to support life and the pension business processes
  • Designing and specifying test cases based on requirements and solution descriptions
  • Running tests, report deviations from desired outcomes and support the customer in final User Acceptance Test

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in any of the following areas: mathematics, probability, statistics or physics
  • Advanced in software for financial modelling, statistical analysis and spreadsheet calculations
  • Analytically minded with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong English both in speaking and writing

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in insurance or pension systems
  • Software development experience, especially in statutory reporting, actuarial reserves, claim/policy value calculations
  • Passage of one or more actuarial exam
  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM/KANBAN projects
  • Experience from working in distributed teams across countries
